A thousand plus cyclists rode to the Capitol on a late March day in support of a 3 foot passing bill and better bicycling in Georgia. Joined by over 35 metro area mayors and elected officials, the riders met with their state elected officials and others to advocate for improved cycling conditions in the state. Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Director, Bob Dallas, used the event to announce a $435,000.00 three year grant to help enable Georgia cycling advocacy groups to improve bicycling in Georgia. The grant comes from proceeds from the popular Share The Road license plate fund.
